Another chapter to the breast pump drama is that I have made three calls to Medela to see what can be done about this $279 pump that lasted a total of 5 months (2 with my sister and 3 with me). To make a very long story shorter, the first two phone calls ended up with me frustrated because they said there is nothing that can be done due to it being past their 90 day warranty. Melody used it for a short time and then it sat around for about 2 years until I needed it. I found out very quickly NOT to mention that two people had used the one person only product.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Wow they really need to have a better guarantee than 90 days! Most moms breastfeeding anywhere between 6 mo to a year! I'm glad you were a squeaky wheel though. And sounds like your new pump is even nicer than the one you had - so rock on! :)
ReplyDeleteThings like that are so frustrating...why can't the first peron give you the dame answer that the last person gave you. They are hoping that people will just give up and they bank on those people not the ones that will be persistant! Gland Tanner can continue to get your milk!
ReplyDeletegood work holly. it pays to fight. too bad you had to fight to get it though!
ReplyDeleteHolly, that picture of you and Tanner is so sweet. He is smiling, and so are you. I thought that was so precious. I am glad you had a good day off...a little jealous too:) But also glad you got a new pump. Keep squeaking!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for the support guys! 90 days shocked me too. seems like you should make a more solid product if you are going to charge that much. i don't feel like i did anything wrong to the company by demanding them to back their product. they are a very large, profitable and reputable company that should stand behind a product that they charge almost $300 for. now they won't have me bashing them online and tanner benefits most of all!
ReplyDeleteSqueak it up for sure!!!! A great lesson learned about being persistent with a company who should have a better warranty than that to begin with!
