It's all fun and games...

"I'm gonna tickle your belly!"
"I'm gonna get your nose!"
"I got your ear!!"

It's all fun and games until someone gets thrown up on!!! (sorry, PaPa!)

  2. Those pics are hilarious!!!!!

Hey, I've been meaning to ask you...do you swaddle Tanner up tight before you put him down at night? I know that worked wonders for us. That's when Em started sleeping through the night like a pro. Just thought I'd ask in case you hadn't tried it. You've got to get them really snug or it won't work as well.

  4. Honestly, I didn't mean to get that, and of course had no idea it was going to happen! I was waiting for a smile because I kept missing them, PaPa said.

Kodi, I have swaddled him, but not lately. I have never swaddled him with his arms inside because he throws a fit! Am I supposed to and do babies normally like not having control of their arms? He hates it! We don't een put a blanket over him anymore, now that he is in the big boy crib. We did in the bassinet. Now, it is just footed pajamas.

  5. Hmmm...We always tucked Emmarie's arms right by her side and swaddled her up tight. I guess it's one of those things where all babies/kids are different. I just know that it was a lifesaver for Trai and I. When their arms are out, little startles and jerks can cause them to wake up just long enough to get cranky. It was explained to us that sometimes they wake up so fussy b/c they want to sleep but little startles keep waking them up.

  6. That is too funny! I am not a mom, but I know they swaddled my nephew up really tight and that is when he started sleeping better too. I mean really tight, it was weird to me, but then I got used to it and he seemed to really do better that way. Good luck!

  7. OMG...that picture is hilarious! Great timing! I don't think it would be too hard to get one of Jackson doing that...he's a spitter.

On the swaddling thing, we almost had to swaddle Jackson as tight as we could because his nervous system was underdeveloped when he was born and he would shake so bad. It was so sad watching him sleep because he would shake like he was cold. The swaddling worked wonders for that. He's been sleeping through the night for about a month now.

  8. for one of the baby showers, we received this little light green soft swaddler blanket that has velcro. it even has holes for the car seat! based on what you guys are saying, i'm not sure it gets tight enough though. i did put his arms down in and since he was already mostly asleep, he didn't seem to notice. not sure if it pissed him off in the night or not! it didn't affect how long he slept, but when he fussed, he seemed to go right back to sleep soon after. i guess that can be attributed to the fact that flailing his arms around didn't wake him up completely.
