The highlight, other than that, was when "Aunt" Cindy, my friend since 2nd grade, came over to see lil' Tanner. We had a great visit and took some really cute pics! I hadn't seen her since April, so it was fantastic to see her again! She is the one
that bought us the wonderful video monitor that you see in the pic above! It is one of those purchases that isn't necessary, but once you have had it, you can't imagine NOT having it! I remember crying when I found out that she bought it! Since Tanner is in his own bedroom now, it provides such peace of mind to just hit the button and see what he is up to! If he is crying or whimpering, I can just check in on him without getting out of bed! Otherwise, with my personality, I would be up and down a million times!
It's nice that your school worked with you and you are able to have the days off during these first few months so that all of you can get used to the new schedule and so that you don't miss those smiles! I think if more districts looked at options like this we wouldn't risk losing good teachers.
ReplyDeleteHolly, I still just think it is so awesome that Rick is letting you off on Wednesdays to be with Tanner/rest/whatever you need to do! Hope you have a fantastic Friday:)
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad that Cin got to come over and see baby Tanner. Cute pics!!
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I DO have a wonderful boss that is very family-oriented and understanding.
Thanks Amy! When do you start?
Mel,
Weren't those pics of Cindy with Tanner hysterical??!!
Yep, I'm going to be envious of you every Wednesday. :)
ReplyDeleteHow did you do that pic of Cindy and Tanner? Looks like a scrapblog creation, but I wasn't sure. Cute!
I hope you can come scrappin! We haven't been together in forever.
Kodi,
ReplyDeleteI didn't get around to calling SG tonight. I will try to remember to do it in the morning, but we leave town at 11am. What time is it on Monday night? You're right; it has been FOREVER since we did anything together other than McDonalds with the kiddos.
The 2-pic collage was made with Picasa.
