Yea! The weekend!

Last Saturday, I took a class at Scrapbook Generation in which I completed most of this layout. I still needed to write and print the journaling and then stitch on the journaling block. This was also the page that I was planning for Amy's challenge, but didn't get to it in time for the blog challenge. I DO like how it turned out! Thanks, Allison, for the sketch idea and thanks to Amy for the challenge to put color and black 'n' white pictures on the same layout. Allison, I also created a Halloween layout using this sketch, but it is on my wall at school! The kids loved it! I stitched a spiderweb and used a candy corn playing card, plus some little ghost stickers and the 3 patterned papers. I'll get a pic this coming week.

Well, Tobin and are are about to leave for our "date night." We are headed to Hemingway's for the all-you-can-eat crab legs and then some shopping around in Bass Pro. We would like to get a heat-sensitive video camera for protection and to watch our house. (LizAnne-you know why) Then, we plan to go to Borders for our usual Seattle's Best latte, music, and magazines!

We may go kayaking tomorrow! Have a wonderfully enjoyable w/e! Happy Birthday Cindy!!!!

  1. I'm so jealous that you have your sketch page completed. So jealous that I'm probably going to go work on mine now. I was headed straight to bed. I officially gave up the bike riding and went to the gym last night. My body is sooooooo sore. But now I can't resist the temptation to work on that page. Thanks for inspiring me! :) Hope you are having fun on your date night. Enjoy those! Trai and I's date nights consist of going to dinner and Wal-Mart. Big Excitement! : )

  3. Yeah, what's up with the camera thing? Now I'm worrying about you. We have had a few scares around our house, and it's not fun, especially when your husband is out of town. Love your layout!!!

  4. Thanks ladies!! I love that big stamp!
Well, we have some new undesireables renting in the neighborhood and lots of stories come along with that being said. The dogs barked ferociously when I let them out to pee (2 nights ago)@ 1:30am and Tobin said that he heard running in the backyard. If the dogs were fighting each other or another dog, we don't think we would have heard running. A few other weird stories and sightings gave Tobin the idea of one of the cameras that people use to videotape wildlife. The camera turns on with heat activation and then starts recording. We didn't get a price on them yet. But, we are now locking our backdoor which we used to leave wide open so the garage wouldn't get too hot for the dogs.
