Two days of scrapbooking with Jean!

I should say two days of scrapbooking and good conversation..in a row! You'd think we'd get an awful lot accomplished, but we visit, laugh, go for lunch, go to scrapbook stores...I really enjoy hanging out with her! I actually worked on three different spreads, but only completely finished one. I'm sure the others will be finished tomorrow...final touches, ya know. Here is one that has been floating around in my head for over a year, but for some reason, I never sat down and worked on it. I think it is because the colors are so crazy. Koen was wearing red, white, and blue, but that didn't play a role in my color scheme at all. Oh well, I like the results.
(journaling: When Koen was 18 months old, Melody asked me to babysit while she ran some errands. I was nervous and excited at the same time! I couldn't wait to have him all to myself, but I didn't want anything to go wrong! We played in the backyard and the threw around a golfball. He ran around in the garden and chased a butterfly. Koen has always loved the outdoors!)

Tobin and I met his parents for a late lunch today and now there is NO need to eat dinner. We totally pigged out at Golden Corral! I did work out this morning though and plan to tomorrow as well! YEA! I've stuck to it so far. Tomorrow, I plan to continue reading the Lean Mean 13 book by Janet Evanovich.

  3. Looks great! Are the name letters at the top those squishy gel type letters? Like the swirled journaling. I had forgotten about the butterfly. Surprised that you did not use the one of him turned around in the tomato plants. Is it a double mat behind the big pic? I've never cut a pic over 2 pages. Good spread!

  5. Hey girl! Thanks for asking about my mom. She is making it okay. I am worn out though. She requires constant care, but I guess she gave that to me for many years so it's the least I can do for her. I'm ready for the hard part to be over with though. I like your new page. Very cute. I love spreading photos over two pages like that:) Hope you have a great weekend, and again, thanks for the prayers.
