Well, one year ago, about this time of night, Tobin and I were spending HIS birthday in Labor and Delivery wondering why my membranes had ruptured and how long could we keep the baby inside. We were told that I could deliver in 7 hours or 7 days or 7 weeks. I was only at 33 weeks gestation. It was a very scary time, but got even scarier when he decided to come the next morning, only to be whisked away from us within minutes! He was off to the neonatal intensive care unit for the next 20 days.
Today, we are madly cleaning house and getting ready for the big ONE YEAR OLD birthday party tomorrow for Tanner Jay!!!
Great slideshow! Am so sick that I couldn't be there to help you all celebrate... Sure reminded me of Koen being in that same exact highchair, with balloons attached to the back. Tanner sure laid waste to that cake! Some really great shots in there. Mom said that Tobin liked the drum and instrument set, hope Tanner does too! LOL... I'm sure that it feels good to have the party over with. I put a lot of energy into that first kid party, and learned not to worry so much about the adults from then on. It's really not about pleasing them, but keeping the focus on the little ones. Good job on what looked like a successful party! Gotta love that huge open mouth smile on little Tanner!
