Announcement!

Well, we knew we wanted two....maybe not this soon, but then again, I'm no spring chicken! We honestly decided to leave it up to God and we can only assume this was His Plan. We found out the day after Christmas, two days after I decided to quit breast pumping for Tanner. Odd, huh? I made a doctor appt. the following Monday for the official pregnancy test and then blood work on New Year's Eve. The nurse actually looked at the HCG hormone levels on the test and said, "Oh honey, you're pregnant...loud and proud." We're excited and prayerful about this news! It all seems sorta dejavu, expecially when at the doctor's office! They even tease me about it constantly..."Weren't you just here?" and "Didn't anyone tell you what prevents this?" yea, yea, yea..... :)

I had my first ultrasound today. I am at 7 weeks and 2 days. Due date August 27th. Tobin and I got to see and hear the heartbeat, even though the baby is the size of an almond. It actually took her awhile to find the baby. She said my uterus was tilted...that was never mentioned the last time...hmmmm. Anyway, the doctor didn't mention that and said everything looked great and he'll see me in three weeks. If all is well at that point, then we will proceed with the 4-week visits; however, he plans to send me to a specialist to check the size of my cervix regularly. This is a preventative measure so that I do not go into preterm labor again. Especially since we do not know what caused it the last time for sure. This specialist will do all of the future ultrasounds which will be coded as medically necessary.

So, the babies will be 16 months apart if you were trying to do the math! LOL!!
