Spoon-feeding

We started Tanner on solid foods on Thanksgiving Day. He got to eat some rice cereal by spoon rather than in his bottles as he has gotten for at least 3 months! This is in addition, to his regular bottles. We have since moved up to oatmeal, but only once. I haven't been as diligent as maybe I should be.

It has been...um.....not pointless, but a real pain in the patootie!

Any ideas on getting more in the baby than ON them??????

  1. I always give Adilynn her own spoon. That would usually distract her, and I think she thought she was feeding herself. But just wait till they start throwing it on the floor.

  2. Hello! Giving him a spoon is a great idea! I have done oatmeal several more times now and it seems that I cannot feed him fast enough. He has really taken a liking to it, but it is the messiest activity ever! It's too cold to strip him down, but the outfit he is wearing during the feeding is for sure going to need to come off afterwards! I guess this is just normal and part of the process!
Throwing it on the floor! Great. The dogs will be more than happy get that, but geez!

  5. Yeah right...babies just wear food. Wait until you try carrots or sweet potatos. LOL
