I got to scrapbook some yesterday since Tobin had to work. Then, he had band practice and he stayed a little later. Some guy brought a bigger amp, so they got to play really loud and he sure loves to beat the drums. Here are my results from my downtime:
The page above seems piece-meal, and isn't at all how I envisioned it, but I got tired of messing around with it. Anyone else ever have that feeling when scrapbooking? The "just get it done" page? The page includes pictures of me and good friends, Hollie and Tara, from high school and college. Can you see the signs of the 80s?
I had a file on optical illusions and thought about the Y-O-U inside of the puffy M-E. I put paper up on the monitor and traced it, then made my template! I liked how the page turned out. Well, off to enjoy the rest of my second day off this week! I have a guest speaker coming to school Wed-Thursday, so I'm diggin' this week already!

Snow day, or ice day..whichever!
YaY! I sure don't mind getting that call at 5:30 am these days! Not having to find pants that fit me, getting to stay in the warm bed, no ironing, more snuggling, scrapbooking in the afternoon, and of course, snacking throughout the day.

Wow! You can definitely tell you are feeling better. You went from zero scrappin and bloggin back to your old ways! Glad to see you back into the swing of things! Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThose pics on the friends page are a crack up! I have a ton of old pics to scrapbook, but they are such crappy quality compared to photos taken these days that I can't get motivated to scrap them!
I'm glad you pointed out the you inside the me or I would have never noticed it. My eyes don't work well that way! :)
I guess I am feeling better! NOt sooo tired and pukey. That's funny that you didn't notice the YOU. Tobin didn't notice the big ME. Oh well, I thought it was creative! LOL
ReplyDeleteGuess it isn't obvious on the blog, but the pic of me in the pink sweatshirt is really pixely. In person, it is horribley blurry. I tried to clean it up with Photoshop, but there was only so much I could do with the original quality from almost 20 years ago. That really hurts to say the time difference! GEEZ.
hey, what happened to your friend Holly's blog?
ReplyDeleteMel noticed that this week too. I emailed Hollie and asked her and she said she knew she wasn't attending to it and didn't plan to, I guess. She also has a myspace that she keeps updated for most of her friends and has to use the computer while at work.
ReplyDeleteHey Holly! Glad you are enjoying our second day off this week:) Love your new pages!!!
