I started feeling a cold coming on Friday morning. That is no big shock since I am surrounded by kids all day long and 8 kids had left school by 2nd hour on Thursday. It has progressively gotten worse everyday, even though all I have done is lie around and rest. I am halfway through the new James Patterson book, Double Cross, and really liking it so far. I also like to watch Ellen dance at the beginning of her talk show. She's pretty darn funny. I honestly haven't even felt like scrapbooking or even going through scrapbook magazines. The Tylenol is masking the symptoms, somewhat, but since it is viral, I get to wait it out with no antibiotics. The downtime has been nice, but it is not like me to have this much downtime and no productivity!! I need to find out if I am contagious because I leave at 5am to go see these cute lil' boys and my sister and brother-in-law! Not looking forward to a 12 hour drive, hacking and coughing my way to Alabama, but maybe things will improve here soon! I sure don't wanna get those sweet lil' boys sick! I really can't wait to see them even though I don't have enough energy to act like it. I'm sure that will change when I see them. I'm sure we'll play hard, and then I'll sleep like the dead. Going to bed early tonight for sure! Mel, we'll text or call every few hours on the drive down.....buy some Lysol spray so you can follow me around. Alabama bound!

ReplyDeleteman girl...if you're like everyone else this stuff will go on and on and on. it is horrible. mine is finally starting to clear up a little. i've had it since Oct.14th. i hope you feel well enough to travel. don't put that baby under too much stress. you need a lot of rest right now even when you aren't sick. :)

ReplyDeleteHeather, I finished the book and really liked it. Alex Cross is a great character. I don't know what you are talking about "watching the women's murder club." do tell! Have you ever read Patricia Cornwell's books with Kay Scarpetta? She is just a female version of Alex Cross, but a chief medical examiner or forensic pathologist. Great reads!
ReplyDeleteHave you read James Patterson's "Women's Murder Club" series? They have started a tv show based on that series. It's a good one too. I have read Patricia Cornwell...I wanted to get caught up on the series last summer, but had to stop reading for awhile... the books were scaring me! I wasn't sleeping at night lol. They are really good though.

ReplyDeleteYea, I read all of hers in one summer. I can't imagine reading them when I have to get to bed on time and get good sleep! The things I have read in both Patterson and Cornwell books make me scared to stay at home alone when my husband goes hunting! Guess that is one of the reasons why I own a gun and sleep with it under his pillow when he leaves. I'm really not a nutcase, but I do take it with me when I take the dogs out to pee at night. lol
And I do have a bullet in the chamber. OK, I do sound a little scary, but I have about 5 different scenarios in my head of what could happen while I stand vulnerably on the front porch!!!
No, I have not read a Patterson book that didn't have Alex Cross as the main character. I guess you recommend them, huh?
Is this series on cable because I am too much of a cheapskate to afford anything beyond basic cable!
