Two more pages~

Tobin had the day off and he helped me take most of my plants to my classroom. I couldn't have done it without him, and especially not without the truck! I keep about 30 plants in my classroom, so many of them spend the summer at the house, but they do well in the florescent lights at school, too. We transplanted a couple while out there. Tobin added about 5 gallons of water and about 8 new plants to my aquarium also. Now I need two new snails!

I used some of the scraps leftover from my "e" title page to do this layout on the left. I use that pic on Blogger and thought that someday, my family may enjoy seeing a pic of just me! I also finished a page of my step-dad's grand-daughter. They live in Florida and we don't see them too often, but I thought these pics were pretty adorable!

Well, I am still in scrapbooking mode. Summer is not over yet! LOL!! I am going back to school tomorrow, but that is to help a scrapbook-club student finish some of her layouts from last year. Once she gets started, I should really work on 8th grade curriculum. The workdays will fly by and I tend to do a lot of visiting!!

  1. hey girl, why don't you come over and pump out some lo's for me! i did finish one today and plan to finish at least 2 more before this weekend. we're probably going to cabool to see some friends that are coming into town. i've had this idea to make pages of family members with Emmarie and then have them journal to her. i want to have all my lo's finished to take with me. i got my sister's done today, but still need to do one for my mom and one for my grandparents.

i really liked both of your pages. i like your swirlies on the first page. i bet you can't wait to get your hands on the ones from fancy pants that should be arriving soon. your stitching on the second page was also very creative. looked really neat! i also liked the digital brush you used on your pics. I used digital brushes today to make my own patterned paper. that was pretty fun!

  2. hey! you started the 30-60 minute pages! lol
that is a great idea for pages in your book! i thought you did one like that for "what each person is thankful for" at thanksgiving.

thanks for the compliments on my pages! the second page was totally my own! i can't ever tell if a page is "my style" or not. tobin usually tells me when it doesn't look like my norm. the dark pink flourish stitching was my way around not buying the stamps yet! cheapskate! lol

  3. yeah, i did do that page at thanksgiving. this will be different though...emmarie wasn't a part of our fam yet and the journaling will be just to her.

  4. what is that little blue box on your side bar? i still don't know if i'm going to school tonight. i haven't heard from trai to see how he is.

  5. I am at school now!
The little blue box works just like a cork board for notes or memos. You can type something in there and leave your email address and name if it doesn't pertain to a particular post. I've read that is why some people switch to typepad, because there is no email function with blogger. I just thought it might be neat. We'll see.

  7. thanks! yea, mel, i drew them on the back of the paper and cut them out. i always do a few backwards, so i really have to concentrate on the reverse thing. blonde.....

  8. Holly...you are way too ambitious with school already! I like both of your pages. I don't think I could be so patient to cut out those swirls. I'm telling you those stamps are an investment:) I have used them more than any set I have to date, and they always look perfect, or at least they do to me. They just add a really nice touch to everything without making everything look the same like some stamps do. And, I'm interested to know how you had time to blog while working at school...hehehe!!!! Hope you have a great "last" weekend!

  9. thanks amy! :) heehee i can get on the blog at school, and sometimes myspace, but usually the latter is blocked. the students tell me when/how they get around it.
i looked up the autumn leaves on ebay and there were a ton of them! which one is the best one? i couldn't find one set that looked like i would use each and every stamp.

  10. I haven't used every stamp in my set. I seem to use the same three or four over and over again. I like them so much that I am thinking about getting another set if I can find one I like. I just love the swirls! The set I have is by Rhonna Farrer, and it is called swirls v:1. Okay, so you must share how the students get around it to go to myspace. I had no idea you could even do that. I get on my blog sometimes, but have never been able to get on myspace. I'm dying to know:)
