I worked in my classroom again today. Actually, I accomplished a lot, but still have no idea how I am going to go about what I am teaching this year! I hung new posters, cleaned off my desk, unpacked supplies, and worked on a bulletin board. I just need to sit down with the book and supplemental materials. My friend, Jane, helped me out with my home computer and ended up saving me a lot of money. Thank you, Jane!!!Tobin definitely has the "fever" and the countdown is on for hunting season. He watches hunting videos every night, fiddles with his bow, reads hunting magazines, and talks hunting on the phone with his friend, Jason, and his brother. This was the seen last night.
Luckily there are no holes in the side of the house. That was last year! One arrow actually entered the garage... We plan to get siding next year, so.....no reason to get bent out of shape over it
.I had to add the pic of his target. That was
his idea since he wasn't overly thrilled that

I was on a photo shoot while he was
practicing. We had to keep the dogs in
the house. This sure is his time of year!
That sounds like Mike...he seems to think that I need a daily countdown to hunting season!!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he is definitely ready to go!!! I stayed at school for almost thirteen hours yesterday. (Until midnight) But, I don't have to go back again!!! Yippee!!! I brought stuff home with me that I can do here. I am so glad I got stuff together, now I can relax and not worry about it until Monday, the 20th:)
ReplyDeleteAllison~ So, that means that you have a husband that takes off for several days during the fall also? Sounds like time for a crop to me!
ReplyDeleteAmy~ 13 HOURS!!! You elementary teachers go all out! I bet it is a relief to have it behind you. You also have open house like we do, right?
Yep, but I would rather do one long day/night than to go out there again. My room is almost completely finished. Just a few things that I can do during our workdays. Yes, we have open house too. Let the good times begin...hehehe:)
ReplyDeleteI think so too!! He is actually going up north for awhile to do some hunting w/ friends. I say we crop!!
ReplyDeleteI had to tell you too that I am once again hooked on Janet Evanovich books thanks to you!! When we were in Chicago I read the first three again to get caught up and I justed started on the 7th one today! Man, those books are addicting!
I KNOW!!! But, they are such easy reads and I love it when I laugh right outloud! So many funny characters! Wouldn't it be funny to have a Grandma Mazur? I think I'd rather have a Ranger on the side though....lol
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading the "Full" series...Full House, Full Bloom....not as funny without Stephanie, but they still keep my attention.
I always laugh at Grandma Mazur parts...Mike looks at me strange for giggling at a book! Ranger...yeah I have this image in my head and it sure looks good!!
ReplyDeleteThe bad thing is that once I start reading one I can't put it down!!
Yep...don't laugh at me, but I have been known to sneak a few paragraphs of Evanovich at stoplights!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think...picture a frumpy Miss Congenialty...Sandra Bullock just prior to beauty queen...Stephanie Plum, right?
trai would love to get back into the hunting hobby. he used to go all the time before he met me. i'm kind of glad he hasn't picked it back up...i've heard horror stories from hunter's wives.
ReplyDeletemaybe once i finish all my jodi picoult books,i'll have to start on the Evanovich books. How long are they? Picoult books are always like 400 + pages...it's taking me forever to work my way through them.
where would he hunt, if he were to get back into it? do you guys have land anywhere or access to a large wooded area? sometimes tobin goes up to northern MO.
ReplyDeletethe evanovich books are about 300-400 pages, but they read so fast you almost wish it wasn't over when you're finished. evanovich just has a way about her that makes you wanna read what happens next...not edge-of-your-seat suspense, just...what crazy thing is gonna happen next? will it be funny or sexy? lol
What do you think...picture a frumpy Miss Congenialty...Sandra Bullock just prior to beauty queen...Stephanie Plum, right?
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good description! Maybe a little more "in style" as Sandra Bullock before the make-over but not quite the beauty queen!
I agree...what about Queen Latifa for Lula, with tight-fitting obnoxious clothing? They need to make a movie! Do you have an image in mind for Ranger or Morelli? I can't decide...
ReplyDeleteThought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth, but it has nothing to do with Evanovich or hunting. I'm gonna make reference to Tobin's CROCS!!!! LOVE EM!! Great summer shoes...not so great for hunting though:) Lol...
ReplyDeleteHow funny, Hollie! I was wondering if those could be seen in the pic! I mean, I saw them, but I knew he had them on. He wears those things all the time! They sure are easy to clean!
ReplyDeletemy brother-in-law is BIG into hunting...won all kinds of awards, trophies, etc. he could hunt with him...down near vanzant,mo. i'm really ok with him not getting back into it though. he would rather just spend time with em and i. he said he had his years of that kind of fun. he's okay with not picking it up again. and for that...I AM GRATEFUL! his hobby now is tinkering around in the garage...building stuff, etc.
