A few more layouts....

Isn't it a beautiful day!? I finally finished the ice storm spread. I think I need to add the date, even though it is on the pictures...what do you think? I still need to do another and incorporate a few more pics of that scenic tragedy. I did do a couple of things on this layout that were out of the norm for me. First off, I added some glitter to some clear embossing powder and heated them together for the title. The newest thing that I tried on this layout is painting my square brads that are holding down my journaling. They were a pewter finish and I happened to remember a fingernail polish that matched the colors of this spread. So, I stuck the brads into the top of a candle and painted them twice. It is definitely something that most wouldn't notice, but I thought it was cool. The funniest thing about this spread is that our dog, Bailey, is lying on Tobin and blends right in with his coveralls!! We were all so very cold!

I am attaching some of my favorite outdoor spreads. Tobin and I don't get too awfully far from home, but we have seen some spectacular views when we go camping, floating, or hiking. Hopefully, this weekend will be no exception. With the recent rains, I expect some pretty scenery!

  1. OMG! i love that page! how did you get your title letters to look like they were dripping? i also am totally digging the glitter! that looks so icy! :) very good work girl! if you hadn't mentioned the dog on tobin, i never would have noticed! i forgot about those pics! i'm glad you got yours done...now i've gotta find mine! the slideshow pics are blurry when you click on them, but they look cool if you just sit back and watch the slideshow!

  2. thank you so much...once you stare at a page for so long, it kind of loses it's pizazz! i downloaded the font from www.coolarchive.com then, i typed what i wanted and changed the color. i'm glad the icy effect came across! i think i'll remove the slide show...

  4. Thank you so much! I have a need to get the most pictures on my pages as possible, so it doesn't leave as much room for fancy, creative elements.

  5. i'm like that too. my most recent spread was the first time i only included one photo. but it was mostly about the story and not the picture!

  8. Thanks, Mel. Sometimes I just have to do that in order to get as many pics on there as I can! Especially when you don't lose any of the focus of the pic!
